No worries about communicating in English
Max, your host, speaks English (he lived in New York for more than 20 years) and is a local native. He'll have whatever information you need and can provide it to you in English.
Authentic Tatami rooms, a Japanese traditional style
We have three different types of rooms but all Tatami floored. Try a healthy way of sleeping.
Kitchen, Living room and Common areas are all yours to use
Includes: a rice cooker, microwave, stove, teapot, coffee maker, TV, AC and any appliances in the kitchen and living room. Did I mention free coffee and tea anytime and free use of a laundry machine? (detergent is also provided!) It's just like sharing a house (but, you have your own private room, of course!).
Eat as you like!
A traditional Japanese-style breakfast (white rice, fish, eggs, nori, Japanese pickles and miso soup: temporarily unavailable) or Guests' favorite Pancake breakfast w/ topping (maple syrup, nutella, home-made marmalade) + fruits can be requested at 600 yen. Please ask at the night before.
No dinner is included but we offer a Nabe dinner (winter time only) - A Japanese one-pot dish w.several kinds of local fish, lots of vegetables, then risotto-like rice at the end - at 1500 yen/person, plus 300 yen if want sake, plum wine, or beer.
Or our host can arrange ordering sushi or other local deliveries. Uno town has fair number of restaurants but most of them close around 9~10 pm. There are also local Izakaya (tapas-kind of place) open until late. The host can recommend or even take you to the places and take care of ordering. It'll be fun!
